How to work Pantone’s 2018 colour ultra violet into your beauty regime

From your face to your nails, and even your tan, we have you covered with this year’s Pantone colour of the year.

Ultra Violet has been unveiled as the Pantone Color of 2018 and while the eye-popping shade might look intimidating, it’s surprisingly easy to incorporate this rich grape hue into your beauty routine.

Colourful locks have been a consistent trend in recent times, but this year will see a shift from pastel tones to more vibrant shades, including violet.

We like Seven Wonders Violet Toning Shampoo & Conditioner, and L’Oreal Colorista Washout in #PURPLEHAIR for a gentler introduction to this vibrant hue. If you’re after a more permanent solution, try L’Oreal Colorista Paint in Violet.

Coincidently, violet-toned make-up is predicted to be a major trend this year and can be worn on the lips, eyes or even as a highlighter.

The key is to only play up one feature on your face with purple tones to avoid going over the top with the vibrant hue. Less really is more.

We like L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Anti-Dullness in Violet, L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Indigo, Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black Violet, L’Oreal Infallible 2-Step Lipstick in 209 Violet Parfait and Revlon PhotoReady Eyeshadow Watercolours.

It might sound weird, but violet-toned fake tan is really a thing and before you envision turning into Violet from Willy Wonka, it’s undetectable to the naked eye. It’s violet tinted and works by counteracting olive/cool tones in your skin to give it a more neutral toned tan.

We like Le Tan Uber Dark Violet Base Foam and Mine Tan Violet Self Tan Foam.
