Hummus with Veggie Dippers

After a delicious snack, bursting with vitamins and ready in minutes? Then look no further than Luke Hines’ hummus with veggie dippers!


  • 800g canned chickpeas, drained with liquid reserved 
  • 1/2 cup chickpea liquid, or more, as needed
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4-1/2 cup olive oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

To serve

  • Olive oil
  • Paprika
  • Fresh parsley
  • Fresh cut vegetables, to serve 


Step 1.
Add all the ingredients to a powerful food processor and insert the tamper.

Step 2.
Turn the blender on high for 30 seconds (or more for a creamier texture) and use the tamper to push the hummus into the blades. Add more chickpea liquid, if desired, for a softer hummus. Loosen up with extra virgin olive oil if need be. 

Step 3.
Add the hummus to a serving plate and garnish with olive oil, paprika and fresh parsley. And serve alongside fresh cut vegetables.
