Yoghurt bark with strawberry and dark chocolate recipe

Looking for a sweet snack to satisfy your 3pm cravings? Reach for this healthy high-protein strawberry and dark chocolate yoghurt bark.


2 cups high-protein Greek yoghurt

¼ cup maple syrup

½ tsp vanilla extract

½ cup strawberries, tops removed and thinly sliced

100g dark chocolate

½ tsp coconut oil

Makes 12 pieces


Step 1.

In a medium-sized bowl, mix the yoghurt, maple syrup and vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 2.

Place half the chocolate and coconut oil in a small saucepan and heat over a larger saucepan of boiling water.

Stir until chocolate has melted.

Step 3.

Gently pat strawberry slices with paper towel to remove some of the moisture.

Grate or finely chop the remaining chocolate.

Step 4.

Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Spread the yoghurt mixture over the base of the tray and top with the strawberry slices, pressing them gently into the yoghurt.

Drizzle over the melted chocolate and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.

Step 5.

Freeze for 2-3 hours until completely frozen.

Remove from freezer and break bark into pieces of whatever size you like.

Serve immediately.

Store in freezer in an airtight container between sheets of baking paper
