The House of Wellness: Autumn 2020

In The House of Wellness autumn magazine, model and yoga teacher Lou Kenny credits her zest for life to a playful attitude and embracing new opportunities.

Lou chats about ageing gracefully, maintaining her fitness, motherhood, as well as how she landed back in front of the camera shooting major campaigns in her 50s.

“(It was) actually a case of pure desperation,” she admits. “I was facing relocation, an empty nest, caring for my dying mother and piecing together part-time jobs.

“So I dusted off my model bag and hit up agents.”

Her enjoyment for life can be attributed to her yoga practice, along with her light-hearted spirit.

“The best advice I can give to anyone for overall wellbeing is to appreciate the circle of life and in a literal sense that really does mean to go back to childlike behaviour.

“Play, have fun, laugh and cry.”
