Want to see a psychic? How to get your questions answered
Wondering what the future might hold? If you’re tempted to consult a psychic, here are some tips before booking a session.
Many of us are firm sceptics and don’t believe in ghosts, miracles, communicating with the dead, being able to predict the future or even any kind of afterlife.
But a fair swathe of us are believers of all, or some, of the above – or, at least, profess to an open mind.
Chances are, you’ve looked to your horoscope at least once in your life for a heads up on what might be around the corner.
Or maybe you’ve experienced the unexplainable, such as the distinct presence of a loved one who has passed.
In these uncertain times, you might be tempted to seek an insight into what the future may hold by engaging the services of a psychic.
If you decide to go down that path, here are some tips on how to make the most of your session.

What you should know before you visit a psychic
The most important thing to keep in mind is that there is no credible scientific evidence that anyone has psychic abilities, such as a supernatural ability to predict the future, read minds or communicate with spirits.
That said, many people are impressed with by what they perceive as their psychic’s predictions and powers.
How to find a good psychic?
International clairvoyant JeanClare says word-of-mouth recommendations are worth their weight in gold.
“When someone has a positive experience with a clairvoyant, they want to share it with other people,” she says.
“This will help you avoid less-honest people within the industry and, hopefully, help you strike a chord with someone who specialises in the modality you’re searching for.
“Some clairvoyants are amazing with career advice, others are best with relationships and then there are those who are good at helping their clients release emotional blockages.”

How to get the most from your psychic session
Before your session, it helps to be clear about what you want answered about your future, JeanClare adds.
“Having a good list of questions you want to ask in a session is important, as well as a clear vision of what you need help with over the next 12 months makes things easier.”
Be sure to not give too much information away during the session, but it’s just as important to not let your clairvoyant diversify into topics you don’t want to know about, JeanClare says.
“You need to stay focused during the session, know what you do and don’t want clarity on, and manifest what you want to manifest.
“Being open and trusting is the key in getting the most out of a session.”
Don’t forget to ask if you can get a recording of the session so you can listen to it later down the track.

Real-life experiences with a psychic
My psychic’s advice helped me land my dream job
“I’d been looking for a job for quite some time when a friend put me on to a psychic who did readings over the phone.
“(The psychic) told me I would be offered my dream job through LinkedIn in four months but that I needed to devote some time in the coming weeks to make my profile more detailed.
“I took her advice and did exactly that and last week I was offered the perfect job through LinkedIn.
“It was only when I went to write my start date on the calendar I realised it was exactly four months to the day since my reading with my clairvoyant.”

I was told my daughter would be the reincarnation of my grandmother
“I was at a Melbourne Cup event many years ago when a stranger came up to me and said, ‘Wow, you have the loudest aura’.
“Up until this point, I was not someone who believed in spirits or psychics so immediately I thought ‘Oh, here we go’.
“But she started speaking and said that ‘Although you feel you’re not quite ready to be a mother yet, you are going to have a daughter and she’s going to be the reincarnation of your father’s mother.
“She died far too young and was not ready to go so she’s planning to come back.
“This was all true, which was eerie enough, but when my daughter was born, everyone who knew my grandmother kept remarking on how much like her my daughter was.
“My father has always maintained that my daughter speaks exactly like his mother did and has the exact distinctive walk.”
