How to get festival hair for your next live music gig

Hitting the festival circuit this summer? House of Wellness beauty expert Jade Kisnorbo shares her tips for easy to achieve, dazzling festival hair.

The festival season is in full swing and with it comes the chance to get creative and inventive with your mane, so why not go out of your comfort zone and try something different?

From simple braids to tousled, beach waves and vibrant hair accessories, there’s a few ways to put your own unique footprint on your hairstyle and according to Jade, achieving an effortless finish comes down to your styling products and heat tools.

Get the look: festival hair

Step 1

Begin by applying dry shampoo to the roots of the hair, which gives the hair added grit, texture, and volume.

For this look, Jade opted to use Klorane’s Aquatic Mint Dry Shampoo.

Step 2

Using a ceramic straightener, heat up the tool and section hair.

Taking an inch of hair, bend each piece back and forth for soft waves in an S-shape, operating at a quick, smooth pace to avoid indentation from the straightener.

To create this hair texture, Jade used Luna Argan Oil Ceramic Straightener.

Step 3

Because of the loosely styled nature of this hairstyle, it’s more prone to dropping and losing shape.

To avoid this, Jade suggests using hairspray to lock in the texture all day long.

For this look, Jade used Kristin Ess Ultra Fine Workable Hairspray.

Step 4

This is the part where you can really let your creative side run wild.

To inject some vibrancy, Jade added some fun, colourful hair accessories that elevates the look.

Here she used Capelli Kids Snag-less Hair Bands.
