Best ways to master mature make-up

Getting older shouldn’t stop us from having fun with your make-up. Beauty guru Jade Kisnorbo shares her top mature make-up tips.

This timeless look makes the eyes pop and channels everyday glamour — and is deceptively easy to accomplish.

Step 1

Adding dimension to the eyes doesn’t have to involve advanced beauty techniques.

Use a cream bronzer or cream contour as your eye make-up base — simply apply a pea-sized amount on to the upper lids and buff outwards for a soft look.

Then repeat on the lower lids.

Step 2

Take a brown eyeshadow pen or kajal and line the upper lid and lower outer eyeline.

Prefer a smoky effect?

Use a smudge brush and softly blend out the lines.

Repeat the process for added depth before adding mascara.

For a more dramatic effect, apply some individual lashes.

Step 3

Using the same cream bronzer that was used in step one, apply the product along the natural shadows of your face to create a sunkissed, contoured glow.

To finish off the look, take a brown-based pink lip pencil and line the perimeter of the lip before filling in the rest of the lip.
