Contour masterclass: Jade Kisnorbo shows you how

The House of Wellness beauty guru Jade Kisnorbo shares her expert contouring and bronzing skills so you can create a perfectly sculpted look to rock any occasion.

Contouring can transform your face by adding definition and sculpting out your best features, provided it’s done correctly.

Not all of us know the tricks of the trade, but thankfully our resident beauty expert Jade Kisnorbo is here to help.

Get the look: Bronzed and defined

Step 1

Create your base using a lightweight foundation.

Contouring might be associated with adding depth, shadows and dimension, but it’s also about brightening the face and waking up tired eyes.

For this reason, the first step of contouring actually involves concealing.

Using a small concealer brush, apply a Revlon Colorstay Skin Awaken Concealer Light in a few shades lighter than your skin tone and place it in the areas that you want to bring forward.

Usually these areas will be the centre of the forehead, the bridge of the nose, under the eye and chin, however, it very much comes down to your individual face shape and features.

If you have any spots or blemishes, conceal with a shade closer to your base as you want it to disappear into the foundation rather than brighten it, which would draw more attention to it.

Step 2

Using Revlon Skinlight Face Glow Illuminator in Sunburst Bronze, apply the product in the areas you want to give definition and dimension, typically around the hairline, down either side of the bridge of the nose, along the cheekbones and around the jawline.

Again, the areas you contour will depend on your bone structure.

If you have a small forehead, only contour the area lightly if at all, because contouring is only going to make the area smaller.

Blend with a dense contour brush to diffuse harsh lines and give an airbrushed finish to the face.

Step 3

To complete the look and set the contour, use a setting powder to lock everything in place.

If you prefer a glowier, bronzed finish you can use a bronzing powder as an alternative.
