The House of Wellness: Autumn 2021

Meteorologist and food lover Magdalena Roze says moving to laidback Byron Bay was meant to offer a simpler life. Instead, she’s never been busier – or happier, she tells The House of Wellness autumn magazine. Read the full digital edition.

Magdalena and her partner, chef Darren Robertson, swapped a high-profile lifestyle in Sydney for the idyllic rural/coastal lifestyle in 2015 – and while life hasn’t exactly slowed down, she feels she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.

“I’ll be happy no matter where I am if I’m with my family, doing the job I love,” she tells the autumn edition of The House of Wellness magazine. “Right now this feels like home.”

Now a mum to two young boys, aged 5 and 3, Magdalena continually draws inspiration from her environment to guide each project she is working on – whether it’s creating a preservative-free spread for the food service industry, a book of nourishing recipes for new mums, or applying essential oils to a variety of purposes around the home.

“My priority is pleasure and nourishment,” she says.
