5 ways to support your wellbeing

Most of us are familiar with that weary feeling at the end of the day. Fortunately, there are plenty of things you can do to support your health.

Wellbeing is something we all talk about and we all want, but what is it exactly?

The Cambridge Dictionary defines it as the state of feeling healthy and happy. And, we’ll take that!

There’s no doubt one person’s state of perfect wellbeing is going to be different from the next person.

Fortunately for us, there’s been a world of research carried out in this area, and so we know the importance of supporting our own wellbeing.

Here are 5 ways you can do just that:

1. Get physical

Taking care of your physical health helps improve your mood and wellbeing.

Try to be active for at least 30 minutes daily, whether that’s running, walking, yoga, dancing, cycling, or even gardening.

Plus, eat a balanced and healthy diet and try to get enough sleep.

2. Do things you enjoy

Research shows spending time on activities that you enjoy can help you maintain positive wellbeing.

Whether it’s cooking, playing with your pet, walking in the park, reading a book, or watching a film or TV series, give yourself time to do the things you love.

3. Face-to-face contact counts

As humans, social interaction — that is, having a strong network of support, or community bonds — is essential to every aspect of health, including physical and emotional wellbeing. The importance of maintaining social bonds was identified in the Blue Zones Project as a critical element for longevity.

4. Eat well

As mentioned above, having a healthy, balanced diet plays an important role in your overall health and wellbeing and is linked with better stress management, improved sleep quality and increased concentration.

5. Some supplement support can help too

Sometimes you need a little extra support in your quest for general health and wellbeing.

The microbiome is often considered the “forgotten organ” because it plays so many key roles in supporting the daily operations of the human body – as much a part of your biology as your own cells.

The gut microbiome is made up of billions of bacteria and other microorganisms that co-exist with other human cells in the lower intestine.

You can’t exist without your resident microbes. If you treat them well, they’ll do the same for you.

Probiotics provide the good bacteria your body needs for a healthy digestive system, another key to overall health and wellbeing.

Life-Space Probiotics + Sleep Support is a probiotic formula containing two strains of beneficial bacteria plus ashwagandha, which is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to decrease/reduce/relieve disturbed/restless sleep, and lemon balm.

It is specifically formulated to support general health and wellbeing and improve sleep quality.

Life-Space Probiotics + Stress Relief contains saffron extract to help relieve symptoms of stress and symptoms of mild anxiety such as nervous tension.

And there you have it, five easy ways to support your wellbeing, just in time for all the energy you’re going to need to sail through summer.
