Good vibes: What does your aura say about your mood?

From ancient medicine to TikTok challenges, auras have long captivated curiosity. So what exactly is an aura and how do you tap into yours?

Often known as the “vibe” someone gives off, an aura is the invisible energy field surrounding your body.

Auras are believed to comprise seven layers, each related to different energy bodies, and can influence our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health.

Kauai’s Hindu monastery describes this energy as being unseen but subconsciously felt by others.

Despite this energy being unseen, some people believe they can read or sense a person’s aura – often through the use of aura photography.

What is aura photography?

Aura photography uses a special camera that is said to capture a person’s electromagnetic field, which presents as a colourful halo-like image around them.

The colours can then be interpreted as reflecting the person’s mood or character.

Vibras aura photography owners Caroline Romero and Emilise Ramierz believe aura awareness may assist people find clarity within themselves.

Emilise says the patterns, colours and stripes expressed in this type of photography can assist in uncovering particular characteristics of a person.

“Aura photography is a perfect chance for self-reflection,” Emilise says.
