The House of Wellness TV returns for 2023 sharing inspiration for a healthier life

They love to share their health, beauty and wellness tips. Now our House of Wellness TV 2023 hosts get personal as they reveal their goals and reflections.

Tuning in to catch up on the latest health and wellbeing advice from The House of Wellness TV show has become regular viewing for many on a Friday afternoon or Sunday morning.

In 2023, the team will cover off the latest on a host of topics from relationships, diet, to fitness and mindfulness.

Here, the crew share their hopes and ambitions as the show returns for its seventh season.

Dr Nick Carr

What topics are you looking forward to covering on the show this year?

As a GP, I love the everyday health stuff — coughs and colds, aches and pains, anything to do with kids, anything to do with getting older.

That’s why I love The House of Wellness TV — we cover all this, and then all the exciting, cutting-edge stuff, as well as the quirky and fun.

What health issues will be in focus in 2023?

Mental health has always been under recognised (and underfunded).

Covid, climate change anxiety and the war in Ukraine have all contributed to making things even tougher, and I fear in 2023 we’ll see the effects, particularly in the young.

Jacqui Felgate

What goal would you like to achieve this year?

Every year I say to myself ‘I’ll travel more’ and I never do!

This year I’ve already booked a number of trips well in advance.

This year I’m trying to live a little more — and to say no if it doesn’t work for me.

I tend to say yes to everything until I’m exhausted.

I’m hoping 2023 will be the year where I’m finally a little more choosy with my time.

What topics are you looking forward to covering on the show this year?

I love getting out and meeting people.

I just turned 40, and being a mum with two young daughters I’m especially interested in women’s health.

The more awareness we can raise about female health issues, the better.

Sarah Davidson

What goal would you like to achieve this year?

We would really like to start a family in 2023.

Of course, I absolutely appreciate that it might not happen smoothly or quickly, but at least we hope to start properly trying, which is so exciting (and a little scary).

In past years, most of my big goals and dreams have been work related.

But during 2022, I definitely noticed myself getting cluckier and starting to yearn for that new chapter of our life.

Your life motto?

In terms of career, I’d say, ‘You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step’ — don’t get too overwhelmed about steps that are way into the future or let self-doubt overcome you, just get started.

Personally, I’d say: ‘Everyone you meet knows something you don’t’.

Treat everyone equally and with kindness and you might just learn something.

Jo Stanley

How will you look after your wellbeing in 2023?

I want to make more time for my friendships.

Having just come out of the year where my dearest friends and I all turned 50, it was such a joy to celebrate each other regularly, so I don’t want to lose that.

Connection is so critical to our mental health and wellbeing, and my friends are like sisters to me.

The best life decision you have made?

To start therapy 20 years ago.

I didn’t really know what it would involve or how I’d change because of it.

I just knew I wanted to understand better how I was feeling, and what to do when those feelings were anxious or sad.

Since then I’ve learned so much about myself, my responses to the world, and how to help myself when the struggles of life get a bit overwhelming.

Luke Hines

How will you look after your wellbeing in 2023?

I’ll strive to find that balance between the meals, mindset and moves.

So I’ll cook nutrient-dense delicious meals, cultivate a positive mindset and move my body daily in a way that feels good.

What goal would you like to achieve this year?

A healthier balance between work and home life.

With all the tech devices around us these days, we are often contactable all of the time.

So no work calls when walking the dogs or checking socials if I am out on a hike — just making sure I do each activity mindfully, the way it is supposed to be enjoyed.

Luke Darcy

What topics are you looking forward to covering on the show this year?

The World Health Organisation believes that by 2030 anxiety and depression issues will be one of the greatest challenges for the human race.

I look forward to The House of Wellness TV team sharing positive stories of people living happy and healthy lives, both physically and mentally, in 2023.

How will you look after your wellbeing in 2023?

I am passionate about a good morning routine.

I like to start the day with some exercise and meditation and am aiming to be as consistent as possible in 2023.

Gerald Quigley

What topics are you looking forward to covering on the show this year?

Australians are living longer, but are they living better?

At The House of Wellness TV, we strive to give information that empowers audiences to get more involved in their own health.

Joint health, memory and recall, and immune health are important topics that affect all of us.

What is the key to maintaining a healthy outlook as you age?

Be positive, be involved with people and causes that you enjoy, seek advice from practitioners who have your health at heart and are prepared to listen — after all, nobody knows your body as well as you do.

Jade Kisnorbo

What goal would you like to achieve this year?

A personal goal for me will be placing myself in more unfamiliar surroundings, trying things I have never done before or learning a new skill.

I feel in order for me to further grow and evolve, I need to feel more uncomfortable.

This has always been a challenge for me as I am a creature of habit.

What topics are you looking forward to covering on the show this year?

I’m excited to explore more about sustainability within the beauty industry and beauty trends.

I’m a sucker for anything viral on TikTok and will always give it a go or have a look if there is any truth to the myth.
